Remote-Control

Next-Generation Dental Units

FAST – SAFE – HYGIENIC – EFFICIENT

F1 remote control treatment units deliver immediate, responsive power exactly when it’s needed. Advanced control systems manage performance in real time, maintaining consistent output while minimizing unnecessary load and vibration. For dentists, this means faster cutting, fewer adjustments, and reduced chair time—supporting a smoother workflow and high-productivity days.

OIL-FREE

“tomorrows technology today”

Pioneers in advanced cordless and hydraulic oil/liquid free remote-control dental chairs and treatment units, Fimet delivers state-of-the-art systems aligned with leading workplace health and safety recommendations for dental clinics. These solutions streamline clinical workflows, eliminate floor cables to reduce tripping hazards, enhance staff and patient maneuverability through innovative equipment positioning that keeps walkways clear, and improves hygiene and infection control through touch-free operation.

A cleaner environment for you, your staff, and your patients.

Fimet oil-free dental chairs use motor-driven electric actuators instead of traditional pressurized hydraulic oil-liquid systems. This advanced electromechanical design delivers smooth, precise movement while eliminating the drawbacks associated with hydraulic oil systems. The result is a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable solution for modern dental clinics.

Key Benefits of Oil-Free (Electric) Dental Chairs

No Risk of Spills or Leaks
Without hydraulic fluid, there is no risk of oil leaks that could cause slippery floors, contaminate equipment, or compromise hygiene standards.

Improved Air Quality
Oil-free systems eliminate the possibility of oil mist or vapors in enclosed clinical spaces, supporting a healthier work environment for both patients and staff—especially those sensitive to odors.

Lower Maintenance Requirements
Electric chairs do not require hydraulic fluid checks, oil changes, or leak inspections, reducing routine maintenance, service costs, and chair downtime.

Precision and Programmability
Electric actuators provide highly accurate positioning and include programmable memory positions, improving workflow efficiency, ergonomics, and treatment consistency.

Environmentally Responsible Design
By removing the need for hydraulic oils and their disposal, oil-free chairs offer a more environmentally friendly alternative aligned with sustainable clinic practices.

⚠️ Important:

Chronic or repeated exposure to oil mist or vapors should not be ignored — it’s a workplace health issue.
Oil-liquid hydraulic dental chairs can develop leaks over time, leading to unpleasant odors, slippery floors, and increased maintenance needs. In enclosed clinical spaces, oil fumes may cause discomfort for patients and staff, especially those sensitive to odors or with breathing concerns. Spills also require careful cleanup to maintain hygiene and safety standards. For these reasons, many practices are moving toward cleaner, low-maintenance alternatives that improve air quality, reliability, and overall patient experience.

Electrical Safety

Fimet low voltage electrical infrastructure is considered a safer dental treatment unit alternative to high voltage systems, particularly when moisture contamination is considered. Low voltage systems reduce the chance of serious electrical hazards in such conditions. Electrical codes often have less stringent requirements for low-voltage installations, making them easier to set up and maintain.

Ease of Maneuverability

Innovative positioning of the DRILLS to the assistant’s side provides more space for patients and staff to maneuver easily and safely within the operatory, obstruction free.

Fimet doesn’t just equip your operatory—it transforms it.

Dr. Nick France

“The FIMET whip arm dental unit can be easily positioned to the assistant’s side. I can still talk to the patient about their treatment while the assistant cleans up and the patients are oblivious to it. Patient entry and exit to the chair is clear and equipment obstruction free. I can’t really imagine how much difference that has made over the years in time and ease.”

⚠️ Direct Risk / Safety Warning

Under Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) regulations, dental equipment must meet high standards for safety, hygiene, and accessibility. If items such as dental chairs or treatment units are installed with exposed control cords on the floor—creating a tripping hazard—or are arranged in a way that impedes clinical workflow, this may constitute a significant issue under the ACL. In such cases, the buyer may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund, provided the issue relates to the product itself or the manner of its installation. However, if the problem arises due to the purchaser’s own planning or layout decisions, ACL protections may not apply. Even so, the dental practice could still face WHS compliance issues and potential insurance risks if an incident occurs. Suppliers, installers, and designers share responsibility for ensuring that equipment and clinical environments are safe and comply with all relevant standards and guidelines. Where issues fall within their scope of work, they may be obligated to assist in resolving them.

Disclaimer: The information provided is general in nature and does not constitute legal advice. Whether a product or installation constitutes a major failure under the Australian Consumer Law depends on the specific circumstances.

WHS

Control cords on the floor can pose a significant tripping hazard in dental clinics, leading to workplace injuries and potential legal liabilities. To address the tripping hazard caused by hazardous control cords, WorkSafe recommendations generally focus on both eliminating or minimizing the hazard and implementing controls to ensure safety. Where possible, switch to cordless or battery-operated equipment to eliminate cords entirely.

The Freedom Your Clinic Deserves

The Hidden Strain Beneath the Chair

For years, dentists have mastered precision in the smallest of spaces — yet one of the greatest sources of daily strain often lies underfoot. Traditional corded floor controls tethered to dental chairs silently dictate how a clinician moves. Every shift, every stretch, every repositioning is met with resistance from tangled cords or limited range. Over time, that constant need to adjust — to accommodate the equipment rather than the body — adds up. Fimet’s design philosophy eliminates that barrier. With modern, wireless and freely positioned foot controls, movement becomes fluid again. No cords to pull, no anchors to trip over. Every shift in position is natural and ergonomic — supporting balanced posture and continuous focus.

Relaxed

Stress-Free Visit

A visit to the dentist can make some patients feel anxious, that’s why our treatment rooms are thoughtfully designed to ease nerves and create a welcoming, calm environment from the very start. FIMET whip-arm treatment units play a big role in this experience. With its extraordinary positioning flexibility, we can adapt the unit to suit each patient’s individual comfort and clinical needs, all while keeping instruments like drills discreetly out of direct patient view until they’re needed. This small but important detail helps reduce patient anxiety and creates a more relaxed, stress-free visit.

Everything Within Easy Reach

Ease of Use

Zero Pullback – Zero Locking Devices

Fimet whip-arm instrument delivery systems represent the pinnacle of precision engineering and ergonomic innovation—designed to minimize physical strain, accelerate treatment times, and elevate the quality of precision work in every procedure. With zero pullback and zero locking devices, the lightweight, smooth-gliding delivery system is designed for simplicity and ease of use, ensuring optimal positioning for longer procedures with minimal strain and maximum efficiency.

Transitioning from Hanging Hose to Whip-Arm Systems

Switching from a hanging hose system to a whip-arm (Continental) delivery system may take some getting used to at first — particularly in terms of handpiece positioning and reach. However, most users find that the benefits quickly outweigh the learning curve. Improved ergonomics, reduced fatigue, and better hygiene make it a transition that’s well worth the adjustment. It’s also important to consider safety: hanging hoses can pose a tripping hazard for both staff and patients, especially in busy operatories. Loose or extended hoses can dangle or trail near the floor, increasing the risk of accidental trips or entanglement and compromising hygiene, hazards that are virtually eliminated with whip-arm systems which keep handpieces suspended and controlled above the patient. Some clinicians may have previously tried whip-arm systems on units where the design wasn’t fully refined — and didn’t find the experience ideal. In these cases, it’s well worth trying a system where the whip-arm design has been properly perfected. The difference in comfort, control, safety, and workflow efficiency can be significant when the system is well engineered.
